I was in my apartment when the fire alarm test happened. Fireman looped a random sound through the speaker for speaker test, and it happened to be the sound of a skytrain accelerating. The sound loop was catchy enough that I wrote a piano piece based on it.
I was playing Live For Speed one night, having powersliding fun, when a crash crashed the game. The crash/freeze looped the car engine sound in such a way I thought it makes a catchy beat.
NOTES: include stuff like RFAC? After all it was inspired by car sounds
